Pre-Event Strategies from 3 Top
Conference & Event Innovators

The work for a successful conference, exhibition or event begins months ahead of showtime. Here are three examples from CredSpark’s most innovative clients of how they built excitement and awareness, drove interest and registrations, and engaged prospects and attendees before the event even started.

Vision Expo is the ultimate industry event for ophthalmic professionals, where eye care meets eyewear, and education, fashion and innovation mingle. With world-renowned experts at the helm of every session, Vision Expo delivers an unmatched learning journey, tailored to every team role.

The Vision Expo team leveraged CredSpark’s personalization engine to create interactive content to generate interest and awareness, as well as drive new registrations. They presented prospective attendees with an assessment that surfaced their particular interests, goals for attending, and more. The results surfaced relevant conference sessions, speakers, and more that directly aligned with each participant’s interests and goals. The interaction surfaced high-quality leads for attendance and boasted an 81% completion rate and 79% click through rate.

The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) is a leading event for pop culture organized by CredSpark client, RX Global. These cosplayers, gamers, and pop culture enthusiasts bring their enthusiasm and love of fantasy to this fun, engaging, and lucrative event.

RX Global used interactive content to stoke that enthusiasm and provide a valuable service to attendees and sponsors. Participants were sent through an interactive experience and answered a few questions. Based on their responses, the interaction surfaced relevant sessions, activities, presentations, and sponsors based on their specific interests.

With an 81% completion rate and 71% click-through rate, C2E2 was able to deliver a more engaging experience for attendees, drive traffic and leads to sponsors, and surface valuable audience insights that they can use to better inform future events and communications.

BookCon Society is the vibrant future of independent booksellers. It’s designed to offer a unique, new approach to connect and network with editors and publicists, which generates a rich understanding of new and upcoming books and pop culture happenings. Like most events, there is always a need for new and innovative methods to keep attendees engaged and attentive.

BookCon Society took advantage of CredSpark’s sorting and outcomes capabilities to create a large library of evergreen content that creates a sense of community in a virtual environment. More than 6,000 people participated in the interaction; and the data collected helped target and drive merchandise sales, fostered social media engagement, and sparked conversations and a sense of community around people with similar interests, hobbies, and fun obsessions.

Bringing It All Together

In each of these cases, the strategic use of interactive content and personalization led to more relevance for attendees and prospects, improved engagement with event content, drove traffic to exhibitors and sponsors, and sparked word of mouth and social sharing for the event.
